Lacey has a problem.    She’d jumped on a plane to New York on New Year’s Day. Because he’d asked.   She’d drunk too much and had thrown up. Everywhere. Because he made her nervous.   Now she’s been offered modelling work.   The catch?   She has to work with Malcolm.   She knows where the attraction may lead, but can she leave it behind once the work is finished, or will Malcolm fight his way into her heart?

I really enjoyed the previous book in the Serendipity Series, Dating Rules so was really pleased when I was asked if I wanted to read and review the latest book by Keeley Holmes. To read that review, click here. Cupcakes and Chaos is Book 3 in the series, so we are visiting characters we already know and like and we get to see the next chapter in their lives.

This book focuses on the story of Lacey and Malcolm. Lacey owns a cake shop, but her life is turned on it's head when she flies to New York, for a modelling contract. It would be great if it wasn't with Malcolm-or is Lacey covering up how she really feels? The trip changes her life, in more ways than one and she starts to evaluate what she really wants, going forward.

We all love a "will they, won't they" romance. At the beginning of the book, I wasn't sure I thought Lacey should have anything to do with Malcolm! It was later in the book that realise there's more to him and why he acts the way he does.

At 204 pages, Cupcakes and Chaos was quite a quick read for me. If you're going away for the weekend, or you have a couple of days relaxing at home, this is a nice, easy read about friendship, life-choices and love.
