Dating Rules by Keeley Holmes
I have just finished reading Dating Rules and I have a lovely warm feeling. I am so happy with the ending, although I won't say too much about why. What I will say is Izzy and Parker do make a lovely couple and I loved them from the beginning.
The book started out quite light-hearted and fun. We know that Izzy had dating rules however from the first chapter she's breaking her own rules.
As the book continues, you realise there must be a reason why she has the rules. She's keeping her guard up to prevent from being hurt-quite likely because she's been hurt before.
Parker really likes Izzy-that's clear from the beginning. And as she starts to realise that, her barriers come down and the story develops.
You find out why Izzy created the dating rules and a few other secrets along the way. At other times, the book is still light-hearted, fun and made me smile. A great mix for contemporary fiction.
For me, a great book is when you really care about the characters and want them to shine. This is how I felt about Izzy and Parker. I will be looking out for more books by this author.
This book got me hooked from the first page. I don't think I've ever read a book that's started in THAT way before, but it certainly gets the readers' attention. Not sure what I mean? I'll let you buy the book to find out!
