Dating Rules
Losing control is not an option for Izzy Shaw, something past experience has taught her. When you’re not in control, bad things happen. So when Parker Cole comes bustling into her life with his carefree manner, no full time job and his terrible Hawaiian shirts, she knows she should stay away. For Parker, seeing Izzy at Penelope’s wedding stirred something in him. Izzy intrigues him. She’s attracted to him but she holds back and she doesn’t realise he sees this as a challenge. Usually when he wants something, he goes for it. For Izzy, being attracted to a man and allowing herself to act upon it is defined by her rules. She lives by her rules, they protect her... Parker is a rule breaker. Over the course of 10 dates Parker has to persuade Izzy that he’s worth the risk, he has to persuade her that sometimes life doesn’t have to be all about rules, sometimes you have to walk on the edge to really appreciate living... He will prove this to her, one date at a time

I have just finished reading Dating Rules and I have a lovely warm feeling. I am so happy with the ending, although I won't say too much about why. What I will say is Izzy and Parker do make a lovely couple and I loved them from the beginning.

The book started out quite light-hearted and fun. We know that Izzy had dating rules however from the first chapter she's breaking her own rules.

As the book continues, you realise there must be a reason why she has the rules. She's keeping her guard up to prevent from being hurt-quite likely because she's been hurt before.

Parker really likes Izzy-that's clear from the beginning. And as she starts to realise that, her barriers come down and the story develops.

You find out why Izzy created the dating rules and a few other secrets along the way. At other times, the book is still light-hearted, fun and made me smile. A great mix for contemporary fiction.

For me, a great book is when you really care about the characters and want them to shine. This is how I felt about Izzy and Parker. I will be looking out for more books by this author.

This book got me hooked from the first page. I don't think I've ever read a book that's started in THAT way before, but it certainly gets the readers' attention. Not sure what I mean? I'll let you buy the book to find out!
