Well-being Wednesday-Time to Slow

So Wednesday of last week was my Wellbeing Wednesday. I like to take the first Wednesday of the month as annual leave, to concentrate on my wellbeing. This sets me up for the month to concentrate on what’s important for me.
I was so looking forward to it this month. December is always a busy month for me, as I know it is for everyone. However with me there is also three family birthdays-including mine! So lots to think about and plan and as much as I enjoy that, it can be tiring. So this month it was particularly important that I took some time out for me. For that reason I didn’t do lots of planning. It was more relaxed.
I caught up with my journaling. It is something I mean to do every week but quite often it slips unfortunately. It is something I want to keep up, because it is a great way for me to slow down, reflect and to make sure I am spending my time in an authentic way.
I decided which book I’m going to read this month; The Cozy Life–Rediscover the Joy of the Simple Things, through the Danish Concept of Hygge. Author Pia Edberg. Hygge is about enjoying life’s simple, cosy moments. It is about living a more authentic and meaningful existence. It also includes a mental state of wellbeing and togetherness. So it seems like a perfect read for this time of year. I’m really looking forward to this book and can let you know what I think of it.
I didn’t do too much else to be honest. I read magazines, watched TV and generally enjoyed not rushing around!
