I was recently asked if I’d like to attend a Yoga and Brunch event that was being held locally. I was quite excited because I had no idea something like that existed in my home town. The Yoga and Brunch Club is a great way to meet like-minded people. The event is held at different venues, including outside in the appropriate weather. Have you ever tried Yoga outside? Such a wonderful way to connect to nature. I’m going to look out for those next year.

Level of fitness really didn’t matter for the Yoga and there was a range of abilities from someone who had followed a 10 minute YouTube video to someone who had been practising Yoga for years. Everyone was made to feel very welcome. They practice safe Yoga and focus on listening to your own body, so it’s a great way to start moving again even if you haven’t done Yoga for a while.

There are many benefits of Yoga, including a balanced metabolism, increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone and simply taking time out of a hectic lifestyle. Yoga and relaxation can massively help with calming the mind and listening within. I’ve worked a lot with self-awareness recently, so I was really interested to expand on this in the Yoga session.

The event was held at The George Hotel, in Huntingdon, in the beautiful ballroom. The hotel has plenty of parking and the staff were really helpful and guiding me to where the room was. When I arrived, I was greeted by the lovely Jess who explained the morning and helped make me feel comfortable. Someone took my brunch order and after a few minutes relaxation, the class began. It was a lovely gentle class, so that it was suitable for all abilities. It worked as a lovely introduction to the practice and why it is so beneficial for our mind, body and soul.

The brunch followed, prepared the George Hotel staff. I had the eggs royale (smoked salmon) which was delicious. The brunch a great opportunity to speak to the other participants, to get chatting and find common interests. The event in total was two hours; a gentle and relaxing start to your Sunday, still allowing time to do something else with your day.

Yoga and Brunch Club Cambs starts again in the new year and Jess is hoping to run it every month. Follow on Instagram to get all the details.

My ticket to the event was very kindly gifted for review purposes but as always my words and thoughts are all my own and I would only ever recommend something that I genuinely loved.
